I liked being part of the supporting layer that is there to push the 'A' storyline along." Inspired by New York Jets psychologist Donna Dannenfelser, Thorne plays Dr. Dani, a recently divorced Long Island mom, juggling her home life with her new job as a therapist for the fictional New York Hawks. This is just the latest in a line of tough-talking women for Thorne that included roles on NBC's lauded "Homicide: Life on the Street" and FX's "Rescue Me."
