Cars Ready for Isle of Man & Quinton

Next weekend sees the 586 Sports team of 'Callum Black & Paul Wakely' and 'Matt Edwards & Sam Collis'. With both crews leading their respected championships its an important weekend for both teams as they look to build on their leading positions.

Team: Callum Black & Paul Wakely
Rally: Isle of Man
Venue: Doughlas, IOM
Date: 9th / 10th July 2010

Black and co will be heading over the water to the historic Isle of Man where he is running car 202 in his MG ZR. It will be Callums first ever recce on Wednesday and Thursday in the build up to the event.

Callum commented:

"I'm so excited about the manx, its got a lot of history and the stages look fantastic, but somewhat specialist. However, I still plan to have a go and mix it with the locals and the S1600 adavanced machinery. It will be a hugely benefical weekend for my experience, so I need to make the most of each aspect. It's fantastic that both 586 Sports MG's are leading their championships, proving how good these cars really are! ".

1st in BRC Challenge Class
1st in BRC Challenge Junior

Team: Matt Edwards & Sam Collis
Rally: Quinton
Venue: Llandovery
Date: 10thJuly 2010

Whilst Black is on tarmac, team mate Edwards will be on the loose gravel surface, on the Quinton Stages back in Wales. It's all to fight for as Edwards who has proved his pace on every event this season with dominating stage times. He is level on points with rival Darren Pinchin in his powerful Proton.
