Most fans understood that Cam Janssen wasn’t returning to the Blues for the 2011-12 season, but the hunch was made official when the news came that Janssen had signed a one-year deal with New Jersey. During the second period of last night's NHL game in New Jersey, Devils right winger Cam Janssen had New York Rangers defenseman Tim Erixon lined up for a check against the boards in front of the Devils bench.
Janssen skated full speed straight at Erixon and lunged at him, but Erixon moved out of the way at the last minute. Janssen's momentum carried him over the boards into the Devils bench, where he was briefly stuck upside down.
