This summer when we make our annual trip to the Smokies I want to do some backcountry camping and was thinking of getting my wife to drop me off in Greenbrier, hiking to campsite 32, then hiking on out to Roaring Fork the next day.I am probably going to be going solo as the wife/kids don't care for backcountry camping. Any thoughts or recommendations from someone who has made this hike would be appreciated. Thanks.
