Rocky Canyon, Hot Springs Campground and Skinnydipper Updates

Rocky Canyon Hot Springs in Idaho Less trash, lower temperatures (just barley hot enough to soak) and a freezing river ford... in a nutshell. All in all a great soak. Although my friend experienced a couple bites that he thought to be red spider mites . Hmmm. Maybe, maybe not. Our Toyota Dolphin Motorhome

Last spring we got our very first motorhome. It is a Toyota Dolphin. It is small and old, but it runs good. We are in the process of doing some cosmetic work on the inside, but we have taken it on several trips so far. Our first trip in it was to Geowoodstock 5, in Raleigh, NC. This was a great chance to meet other geocachers and get to know a little more about the game. We were very new to geocaching at the time, and learned a lot of little tricks. We also met some cachers from our area... Read Full Story

I am the only person in my family who hates camping, so it is a lonely existence. I've been told that I am unreasonable, a poor sport and a wet blanket, so I have decided to state my case. Final Word On Camping

As a final word of advice to the beginner in camping, let me tell you a few things that my own experience has taught me. A felt hat is better than a cap as it is sun and rain proof. Wear a flannel shirt and take one extra one. You can wash one and wear the other. Be sure to have a new shirt plenty loose in the neck as camp washing in cold water will make it shrink. Do not go around in gymnasium shirts or sleeveless jerseys. One of my companions did this once and was so terribly sunburned... Read Full Story
