TV Casting Couch: Amy Acker, Mark Pellegrino, Camryn Manheim

As fanboys we get used to seeing a lot of similar and same faces in the TV shows and movies we watch. That is what makes Casting Couch posts, so much fun, as I get to find out where some of our favorite actors from shows like Angel get their next gig or even someone from Lost that was cool. So who is on the couch today? Amy Acker is getting a role on USA’s Common Law show, Lost’s Mark Pellegrino (Jacob), will star in A&E’s upcoming ensemble comedy, Breakout Kings. Camryn Manheim, famous on shows like Private Practice and Ghost Whisperer will join Harry’s Law.

The cop dramedy, Common Law,  stars Michael Ealy and Warren Kole as partners who can’t stop bickering, so their captain sends them to couples therapy. Acker will play their therapist. [Deadline Hollywood].

The ‘Lost’ alumnus, Pellegrino, will play Virgil Downing, an infamous assassin in Breakout Kings. [TVLine] The new series, about a group of convicts who partner with a U.S. Marshal office, will bow on March 13 at 10PM.

Camryn Manheim and former The Practice co-star, Steve Harris, will appear in future episodes of Harry’ Law, though they won’t reprise their ‘Practice’ roles. [TVLine] Harris looks to play a convict as you can see him in the latest previews for the series. Not sure who Manheim will play yet. Harry’s Law is the latest show from The Practice creator David E. Kelley.
