With an ego bigger than Hollywood, it's no secret that Veronika London wants all the attention anyone will give her. And to be fair, we feel a little guilty writing this article - but only a little - because someone needs to expose this scam artist for who she is.
Veronika London is possibly the biggest fraud of an actor Toronto has seen this decade, and that's saying something.
In recent interviews, Miss London has linked herself to several big-name stars, including James Lofranco. Both he and her other reported "love interest" Shane West have no idea who she is.
Aa lot of the projects London "stars in" are indie films which may never see the light of day - OR - her presence in the film is swelled and exaggerated even more than her pretty little head. For example, she proclaims herself to be the lead role in a horror flick called "Black Eve" and horror sites are eating up her little cardboard cutout self. However, Eva James is the lead actress in that flick, and co-stars Emily Schooley (Small Town Murder Songs, which screened at TIFF), Kassandra Santos (Nikita), Thet Win (Lost Girl), Scott Vancea all see just as much if not more screentime as "VKN".
And what is up with those awful acronyms and nonsensical garbage that she spouts, anyway? No matter how you dress it up, cardboard is still cardboard, and that pretty much sums up London's acting abilities. She's not bad to look at, but in ten years her lifestyle is going to catch up to her. Not that her career will last that long, if her stretching the truth thus far is any indication.
Some of her other "starring roles" include "films" like "Burning Amber" - a pilot pitch that was never made, and a recent project "Lady of the Night" where she skipped out on having to work after arranging to get paid in advance.
Her being named "Megan Fox of Canada" was a happy accident, too. She told Maxim that people were calling her that, and like the boob-chasers they are, they published it without thinking. We won't deny that her tactics are smart, but she should have expected the truth to catch up to her in the end.
And did we mention that her real name is Gladys?
If there's any justice or truth at all in the film world, this misguided young woman should be doing a lot of apologizing before she tries to find credible work again in the industry.
