Benign tumors of the trachea and bronchi

Of all benign tumors of the trachea and bronchi (Chondroma, lipomas, fibromas, myomas,angiomas) known as adenomas and papillomas.

Adenoma of the trachea and bronchi

Represents a tumor that grows very slowly. It is more common in women, less common inchildren and the elderly. It used a pedicled flap used on a broad basis.
The clinical picture first appears hemoptysis (coughing up blood), and then develops an obstruction. Bronchoscopy revealed a smooth tumor blood vessels expressed.

Radiography and tomography in particular can be detected by the shadow of the tumor. Forlocalization of the bronchus appear atelectasis or emphysema.

Treatment consists of removing adenomas by bronchoscopy, and if not possible, then surgery.

Papillomas of the trachea

These are benign tumors arising wart descending spread of juvenile laryngeal papillomas. It is difficult to remove them so the prognosis is very serious because of the lower airwayobstruction.

Classic mechanical removal of papilloma represents a greater threat to their disseminationand their attempts to remove the cryotherapy, liquid nitrogen.
