The Caparo T1 is an ultra-lightweight 2 seater sports car. Formerly known as the Freestream T1, the design was envisioned as a road-legal car with performance approaching that of a Formula 1 race car.
Even this supercar had been involved in a fiery incident with a Fifth Gear host, scared the Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson and is generally completely impractical, the 575hp (429kW) Caparo T1 still exudes a sort of animal magnetism. The Caparo T1 seemed like it had floating around in one form or another for years before making it's official debut in 2008. Originally slated for production in 2007, the T1 has had a rocky road. Caparo Vehicle Technologies is run by ex- McLaren engineers Ben Scott-Geddes and Graham Halstead . Their original concept was to create an F1 inspired race car that was street legal.

This year it will reportedly be the LF1, a car built to demonstrate the application of Formula 1 design and build techniques to a production vehicle.
