On Sunday, Carolyn's mom told us that she and Carolyn's dad had signed up for the lobster cruise at 1PM. So Carolyn & Clint decided to go to. It was a lot of fun! It wasn't the same as crabbing, but it was still interesting. The captain only caught 2 lobsters and neither were keepers. One was too small. The other one was huge, but it was a she, and she was carrying eggs so we had to put her back. The captain said she was the biggest lobster they had caught this season. There were a bunch of other creatures in the traps too.
Waiting for the lobster boat to show up.

The channel is eroding away, and people's houses are washing away. The people (actually, I think he said it was a Kennedy) got the government to give them some money to build the rock wall in an attempt to keep the erosion at bay (no pun intended). The rocks are not even local rocks, they had to be trucked in. This reeks of rich people taking taxpayer money to save their own asses, as these houses are all uninsurable and cash only anyway.

The fishermen loaded the fish into the machine, which then rose up and poured them into the slide.
Carolyn & Clint were wandering around wondering what to do when they got a call from Carolyn's mom. "I need someone with a camera to come to the fish market!" It was fun to see the seals and seagulls swimming around waiting for scraps. It was also neat (and gross) to watch the fish being loaded up into the machine and then slide down the slide to be packed into boxes for the trucks.
