Yes – the CX-5 is the first production Mazda to get the new SkyActiv technology in the two engines on offer – a 2.0-liter petrol with 165PS and a 2.2-liter diesel with either 150PS or 175PS – with options of either 2WD or 4WD, manual or automatic gearboxes and four trim levels - SE-L, SE-L Nav, Sport and Sport Nav.
Standard equipment on CX-5 SE-L models includes 17-inch alloys, climate control and air conditioning, as well as front and rear parking sensors and tinted windows.
Further up the CX-5 range, Sport models get 19-inch alloy wheels, xenon headlights, heated leather seats and a reversing camera. All Nav models include sat-nav as standard.
While production for the UK market is likely to be limited this year, Mazda has established a pre ordering facility that will enable customers to order a Mazda CX-5 via their local dealership, allowing them to become one of the first customers to own a vehicle featuring SKYACTIV technology.
