BUGATTI VEYRON vs MCLAREN F1

Gordon Murray's McLaren F1 is certainly gone but not at all forgotten. Having entered production in 1993, the 240-mph F1 was powered by a high-tech BMW V12 but was, in essence, a simple car. How unlike the Bugatti Veyron. Yes, the Veyron used a high-tech quad-turbo W16. But simple? Not in the least. Bugatti's exoticar is very, very heavy. It's also amazingly luxurious whereas the McLaren is... well, comfortable at best.

Thankfully, Top Gear has positioned the planet's two most famous exoticars against one another in Abu Dhabi. We know the Macca can scream off the line. We also know the Bugatti has muscle unlike any production car in history. The result of Richard Hammond and The Stig's race can be seen in the clip below. Excellent videography is yours to witness.

Representing a generation of first-time new car buyers, The Good Car Guy puts words to their thoughts and feelings. The Good Car Guy is a guy all about the good car. Advance the good car - dethrone the bad car.
