Cara Dickey, the South Buffalo Chart School teacher who allegedly carried on an inappropriate relationship with one of her students has reportedly been fired.
The 29-year-old teacher disappeared after being escorted from the school's premises Monday, and was found sleeping in her car the next day. Meanwhile, the 14-year-old student she allegedly had a relationship with left school early and was found Tuesday wandering around a local mall. It's still unclear as to whether the two had spent any time together.
Dickey was escorted off school grounds after the school's administration confiscated the 14-year-old's phone and found inappropriate text messages between him and Dickey. This was after she had reportedly already been warned about the relationship.
It's been reported that Dickey was given her termination papers Wednesday. The attorney representing Dickey's Husband, Roy, said in a statement Thursday that the teacher had not been home since her disappearance, but has contacted her family by phone. He also mentioned that Dickey's husband supports his wife and is sure that nothing inappropriate happened between her and the student.
