After their vacations, Poker players have started on their journey again with the year’s first major live Poker tournaments of 2012. The big games – The World poker Tour, The European Poker tour and the World Series of Poker are anticipated to have much action.
The World Poker Tour (WPT) will jumpstart in 2012, with WPT Ireland. The venues for the tournament are City west Hotel, then the Conference, the Leisure, and Gold Resort in Dublin. The €2,500 Main Event is for four days, and will end with the final table with television broadcast on January 8th. This also will be the first time that the World Poker Tour will be making a stopover in the Emerald Isle.
The Irish Poker Championship will also be held hand in hand with the main event, and some lower buy-in tournaments running for a single day. The Irish Poker Championship (€675 + €75) will be starting on Friday and will continue through the whole weekend. Satellites are running now for the WPT Ireland, while it seems that the Irish Poker Championship will be having their own qualifiers and this will go on till the starting time.
