How do you feel about rising gas prices?

Dear Gassy,

I know a lot of people are upset about gas prices rising, so you have to get creative.  Follow these easy steps below…

Supplies:

• 6 feet (2 metres) clear 1/2″ tubing
• chair
• gas can to collect gas in
• Step1  Insert the hose into your gas tank. Make sure it is below the level of the gas by blowing into it (gently!) and listening for bubbling noises.  
• Step2  Loop the hose so that it touches the ground first, then loops back up to higher than the level of the gas tank. Stand on the chair to get yourself this high. (Bring the gas can with you - you will need it in the Step 4!)  
• Step3 Suck on the hose and watch as the gas travels down to the bottom of the loop and begins to go back up. Because liquid seeks its level (here’s the physics part), it should at this point automatically fill the tube up to the level of the gas tank.  
• Step4  Place the free end of the hose into the gas can, then slowly lower it to the ground. Because it is now lower than the level of the gas tank, it should flow right into the gas can.When you have enough gas, simply lift the gas can and hose back up to the level higher than the gas tank, and the gas will not be able to continue flowing. Take the hose out of the gas can and hold it up, straightening out the loop so that all of the gas left in the hose flows back into the gas tank.
