The Associated Press The Associated Press SALT LAKE CITY Real Salt Lake selected midfielder Jarad vanSchaik on Thursday with the 52nd overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft. The team traded its first-round pick (No. 14 overall) to Chivas USA, acquiring allocation money in exchange. VanSchaik was a four-year starter for the University of Portland.
