Carl Edwards is a Class Act as He Loses the Chase for the Sprint Cup
NASCAR finally got their Super Bowl. One race to determine the champion and only three points separated two great race car drivers today before they went green. Carl Edwards managed to hang on to the points lead, but Tony Stewart managed to share it with him picking up those three points as the two finished one-two today giving Smoke his fifth win of the Chase.
In the end, Carl Edwards was the ultimate sportsman. Humble, defeated, and yet inspirational when it comes to handling defeat. Tonight, there is really two champions. Edwards may have lost it due to the tie breaker, but he proved tonight he was worthy of a NASCAR championship as well as he set an example for the sport.
