Carl Landry has been putting up some decent numbers for the surging Houston Rockets, putting up 12 points and pulling down 6 rebounds during Houston's 95-84 win over New Orleans. For the season, he's averaging 9.3 points and five rebounds.

Carl Landry, seen above in the center, was injured in Houston last night after being shot in the leg.
According to
Associated Press reports, Landry was driving in Houston at 4 a.m., a few hours after the Rockets had returned from beating the
New Orleans Hornets, 95-84. After another vehicle collided with Landry's, the 6-foot-9 basketball player stepped out of his car to inspect the damage. The other vehicle, which had two occupants, opened fire on Landry, hitting him in the leg, and then sped away from the scene of the crime. Police are still investigating.
The Rockets released
a statement following the incident, saying:
\We are very thankful and relieved that Carl's injuries were relatively minor and that he is doing well. We are in the process of working with authorities to gather more information.Amazingly, the Rockets expect Landry will be back on the court within one to three weeks. We never knew you could just shake off a bullet wound like that.
