Carl-Peter Forster resigns as Tata Motors chief executive

The Telegraph Carl-Peter Forster has resigned unexpectedly as chief executive of Indian carmaker Tata Motors with immediate effect. Tata Motors said his departure after 18 months in the job was due to "unavoidable personal circumstances".

Mr Forster, the former head of General Motors in Europe, will remain on the board as a non-executive director.
