Carla Bruni has her vanities and many, many pictures to prove it.

France's first lady is most definitely fascinating - I must say that at least I'm fascinated. 

Carla Bruni has had that "big life" that Edwina and Patsy (Absolutely Fabulous) always yearned for - she's so much like a character from a novel that it's a little bit fun to live vicariously through her story.

I would say the editors at Vanity Fair are fascinated as well.  September's issue is all about the very unique French femme with an extensive profile, online slideshow, and republished 1992 interview of Carla when she was a 24 year old cut-up.

I think most people will be quite amused with the online slideshow of Bruni on the catwalk modeling for Chanel, Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Dior.  Sexy, sexy, sexy!

She seems to have had so much fun with her first 41 years that I'm looking forward to seeing what she does now that she's married the president of France.
