French president NICOLAS SARKOZY and wife CARLA BRUNI enjoy the perks of politics. Many questions have arisen surrounding NICOLAS and CARLA'S extravagant holidays and getaways, from their whirlwind trip to Egypt and relaxing summer yacht vacations, prompting NICOLAS' people to insist all of his private dealings are paid for by extremely wealthy friends. Here however, NICOLAS who is in New York City on international business (speaking today at UN General Assembly in New York), is most likely being put up in his fancy hotel, with ex-model-turned-singer wife CARLA, by the French taxpayers. How lovely. NICOLAS and CARLA were seen leaving their hotel to attend a function at the ultra-luxury Waldorf=Astoria hotel in New York. NICOLAS wore a pinstriped suit, while CARLA donned a ruffle-neck little black dress paired with a gold satin Dior clutch and an ever-present pair of ballerina cutout flats.
