And I'm going to stand by my original prediction   Last night was a pretty consistently good finale show for DWtS, so let's get right down to it, shall we?   1. Kelly and Louis OK, yes, I'm a little bitter that Kelly made it through, instead of Joanna, but I can also see that neither Joanna nor Kelly would win this thing, so it actually doesn't make that much difference. That being said, Kelly and Louis's kick-off Argentine Tango was the best routine Kelly has ever done. She really kept it together, had a lot of intricacy and complexity to what she delivered ... LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Tom DeLay -- the former Republican congressman turned TV celebrity -- is expected to quit popular program "Dancing With The Stars" on Tuesday night, according to media reports. People magazine said DeLay will withdraw on Tuesday night's result show due to stress fractures in both of his feet. After scoring just 17 points from the judges, the former Coronation Street star needed a huge proportion of the viewer’s vote to remain in the competition. Instead he came in the bottom two, alongside Ricky Groves, and was promptly sent home by the panel. Earlier he and dance partner Flavia Cacace danced the cha cha cha to Easy Lover by Phil Collins. Len Goodman ... Read Full Story

Thanks as ever to alert reader Temple, finder of all things groovy. This is one of those hubris-decimating moments: just when you think you've seen it all, it proves to you that you really, really haven't. In honor of Temple, I issue a Beverage Warning: if you're drinking something, for your own safety, swallow it first. ("Jhatke Pe Jhatka," I think from Khoj , 1989) VPL! Bubbles! Leering! Ships! Fountains! An inappropriately placed hose! Wow. Read Full Story
