The comedy world has been abuzz since it leaked that NBC would be bringing back Fear Factor and that comedian Joe Rogan was in the running to return as its host. Today, we hear it’s official: Rogan will host the all new version of the famed stunt-filled, gross-out reality series.
“It doesn’t seem real,” Rogan told TV Guide Magazine, who broke the news. “It seems like some sort of bizarro dream world. But I’m looking forward to it. The idea of sitting at home and watching someone else host it would have driven me crazy.”
As we’ve reported before, during the question-and-answer segment on his 2007 live album Shiny Happy Jihad, comedian Joe Rogan tells the audience that his time hosting the reality show Fear Factor is done. “I just want to do comedy,” he says. “But I’m a whore. If they offer me more money, I’ll come back.”
Looks like NBC made him the right offer. Congrats, Joe!
