Carlos Quentin’s Return Near, How Does His Bat Fit In?

By epadaon on  From chickenfriars.com
Carlos Quentin has made a couple rehab starts for Triple-A Tucson.  He hit his first home run of the season – minor Carlos Quentin is due back with the Major League club soon. (Mark J. Rebilas-US PRESSWIRE) league home run at least.  Quentin is scheduled to play a few more rehabilitation games with Class-A Lake Elsinore rather than travel with the Tucson Padres. Quentin’s return should equal more power for an obviously offensive-challenged team, but just how much will Quentin be able to...Read Full Story

Carlos Quentin MLB Fantasy Baseball Projected Stats, ADP, Auction Value Rankings

By ballhyped on  From ballhyped.com
Some people may be ok with a hitter posting a batting average below .250 but I’m not one of them. Carlos Quentin came out of nowhere for a huge season in 2008 but has failed to play close to those numbers since.View and VoteRead Full Story

Rumor: Carlos Quentin Likely The First To Be Traded

By RantSports on  From rantsports.com
The Q-perman could be no more. Ken Rosenthal is reporting that Carlos Quentin will likely be the first White Sox player traded. This comes as no surprise to me, as I predicted pretty much everything Rosthenal is projecting. You can read my previous... [Read the full post @ RantSports.com]Read Full Story

Quentin Rallies Over Rangers: Sox - Rangers Game 3

By WhiteSox on  From thewhitesoxblog.blogspot.com
The Sox were trailing 8-5 in the bottom of the 8th, and I figured on a day like this, I shouldn’t even bother to put on my rally cap. We seemed to be working with our scraps and leftovers in the field and at bat, and the scoreboard showed it. Minor Leaguer Richard was our pitcher, Toby Hall was catching, and Crede was still out (and he may be out for awhile). Paired with questionable hitting, how were we going to pull off a win? But after 5 runners crossed home plate in the 8th, the Sox put...Read Full Story

Carlos Quentin is a man-beast

By Rex Jaybels on  From i94sports.com
Carlos Quentin hit his league leading 7th HR yesterday, which capped off quite a weekend for the White Sox. They pounded out 48 hits over the 4 game series, including 7 HR’s, 3 of which were by Quentin. The Sox only blunder of the 4 game set in Tampa where they struggled mightily last year, including their first round exit from the playoffs: Matt Thorton gave up a grand slam in the 2nd game, which led to the only loss of the series.  All in all things are pointing in the right direction for...Read Full Story

Time To Hit The Panic Button

By WhiteSox on  From thewhitesoxblog.blogspot.com
I've been scared before. Sure, Crede may or may not be out for awhile. Sure, Beatnick Swisher is back to his old self. Sure, John Danks is tired and Buehrle is turning into Vazquez. But all those problems have solutions, are temporary, are not new. What you didn’t see coming is Carlos Quentin. Carlos Quentin, whose status as possible MVP was much buzzed about as the post-season approached, has been out since Monday. Arm soreness turned into arm and wrist soreness, which turned into [as...Read Full Story
