Carlos Sastre in Stage 6 of Le Tour 2010

Carlos Sastre competed Stage 6 of the 2010 Tour de France today in 05:37:45.  He ranked #112 for the stage.  Mark Cavendish won the stage in a sprint.    After Stage 6, Carlos Sastre is now ranked #46 in the overall general classification.  His current GC time is 04:40:49 and he has a total gap of 00:03:19 from the yellow jersey.    Carlos Sastre is competing for Cervélo Test Team.  Tomorrow's stage 7 takes the tour from Tournus to Station des Rousses and covers 165 kilometers.Read Full Story

Carlos Sastre TdF 2010 Results

Carlos Sastre ranked #111 in today's stage of the Tour de France.  He completed the ride in 03:34:55.  The stage ended in a hotly contested sprint and was won by Alessandro Petacchi.    At the end of Stage 4, Carlos Sastre now ranks #47 in the overall general classification.  His combined general classification time is 18:32:14. Carlos Sastre now in 4th place in the Tour de France

Carlos Sastre is now in fourth place in the general classification because former leader Michael Rasmussen was forced out of the Tour amid scandals of doping and lying to team managers.  Rasmussen missed 3 random drug tests this year, and lied about his where-abouts during those tests.  Team Rabobank was forced to fire Rasmussen and remove him from the Tour - despite his first place standing and victory in Stage 16.
