Times Books sent me a copy of Rick Morrissey's new book Ozzie's School of Managment last week. I got to tell you, the more I read about skipper Ozzie, the more I thought about Joe Maddon. A lot of Morrissey's Ode to Ozzie is what you would expect.  

Hopefully the Anthony Rizzo trade is one of those. I remember sitting in front of former Cubs GM Jim Hendry with a list of questions. After one he didn't particularly like, he said to me, "You could have a list with any general manager of the mistakes they made."  

He is due to make somewhere around $50 million over the remainder of his contract. The Cubs are currently paying Carlos Zambrano and Marlon Byrd to play elsewhere. They are paying over $20 million for those two to play for Miami and Boston, respectively.
