2011 Comic-Con: Lost Deleted Scene Reveals Man in Black’s Name
Lost may be more, but that does not mean that Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse can not continue to annoy the fans, and Comic-Con this weekend, showed a few “lost” images of the final season of one to Mark Titus Welliver and Pellegrino. The missing images come from “Exodus” and mixed with the original scene of the episode, John and Jack. While John begins to talk about the island and the destination, Jacob and the Man in Black have their own conversation next door (apparently, “director Jack Bender has made the press on the set of Disney a few weeks ago”). So what about the new scene and what Lindelof and Cuse revealed at Comic-Con? Lindelof has called “a scene that clearly and specifically the problem may disappear forever.” The issue of speaking was, “Were you up as you go?”
“New Images” (below) shows some jokes between Jacob and the black man in everything that happens before the end of the series, including about Desmond pushing the button, the black smoke, the man, complaining of being called a monster black, the “magic light shining,” and the metaphor of cork. There are references to time travel, confusion, candidates, false Locke and the death of Jacob. They even participate in a child “no”, “do too much” argument before it reveals that the man named Barry Black. Barry is not happy at all about the name Jacob, and the clip ends with Barry hands around the neck of Jacob.
It’s a funny clip, but fans still have questions they want to lose response, even though the series ended a year ago. Yet, as it does not look like they will get answers any time soon, it’s at least something.
