Carly Patterson

(KTVI) – Carly Patterson cares about success. She was the first U.S. woman to win Olympic gold in women's all-around gymnastics since Mary Lou Retton in 1984. She was crowned champion in the Greece games in 2004.  

The opening ceremonies of the 2012 Olympics in London are 100 days away.  

Her victory at the American Cup in March could be a sign of more good things to come: All three Americans who won Olympic gold — Mary Lou Retton in 1984, Carly Patterson in 2004 and Nastia Liukin in 2008 — won that same event ahead of the Summer Games.
