DENVER, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony kept his hot streak going with 38 points Wednesday, helping bring the Denver Nuggets a 111-101 victory over Houston. Anthony has scored 30 points in five straight games. He made 19-of-20 free throws and the entire Houston team made 18-of-20. The Nuggets won their third straight game and their seventh in nine. J.R. The Nuggets are following about the same defensive strategy as last year: aggressive and extra energetic, heavy fouling, a lot of switching, and mostly man to man with little zone.
