Carol Channing (Getty Images)Carol Channing is an acting and singing legend, so it would take a superstar to do her justice onscreen. Enter Johnny Depp -- or at least, he wishes. Depp said in a recent interview that playing Channing would be his dream role, so when she appeared on The View today, the hosts took the opportunity to find out what she thought about that. Turns out, she's not so surprised.

She said (via TVSquad.com): "Isn't that something? Well, I've never been done that I know of by a woman. So, it doesn't seem to shock me."
Channing added, "He's a great artist."
