FAULT: What role as an actress are you most proud of? Julie: The role of Rhoda the Robot in "My Living Doll". Non human parts are the most difficult; otherwise science fiction leaves you cold. FAULT: Who have been some the biggest inspirations through- out your career? Julie: Mom, Ganna (grandmother), Rita Hayworth, Carole Lombard and Catherine Deneuve. FAULT: What's the greatest compliment you've received as an actor? Julie: The joyfulness I hear in peopie's voices years after a performance.
FAULT: who has been your favourite leading man? Julie: James Mason was the most gracious to me on the screen. FAULT: Is it true your legs were insured for 10 million dollars (except in the event of theft)? Julie: Yes. Peter Gow land took a picture of me when I was forty nine. Quite the best "legs" picture I know of. FAULT: Did you know the Cat woman persona that it would be such an iconic character? Julie: Nope, I was too busy trying to figure out what to do in so little time, it's television you know. FAULT: 'what are the pros and cons of being a sex symbol? Julie: All pro, no con. FAULT: How has the entertainment industry changed since you first started your profession? Julie: There's too much noise; everything is too loud these days. It's pyrotechnics over story, ear splitting decibels over emotional truth. America seems to stand for force over reason. I prefer Masterpiece Theatre to the latest movie blockbuster (but then, I'm not a 10 year old).
