Carroll Shelby, legendary auto designer and racer, passed away today at the age of 89. He introduced the Shelby AC Cobra to the US in the '60s and first gained fame for his big win in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in 19959.Shelby's exact cause of death is unknown at this time, but he is said to have passed away at a Dallas hospital.
