2008 Cobalt XFE, A Good Answer To Fuel Economy

With the continuous increase in fuel prices, vehicle manufacturers are devising various ways on handling this problem. Chrysler offers fixed fuel prices for three years, Suzuki gives fuel away for free for three months but Chevrolet does it differently.
Releasing its new model the Cobalt XFE (Xtra Fuel Economy), Chevy makes another good addition to the vehicles in the best fuel economy category. The Cobalt CFE uses an EcoTec 2.2 liter DOHC I-4 engine capable of 148 hp and 206 Nm of torque with revised engine calibration, low rolling-resistance tires, new 4.74:1 final drive ratio to achieve 25 mpg (city) and 36 mpg (highway), a 9% increase. It can also be fitted on LS and 1LT coupe and sedan models with manual transmission. Since fuel economy is one of the main considerations in buying a new car, the new Cobalt will surely make a good impression to customers.
With its 36mpg fuel rating, the XFE keeps up with its main competitors such as the Honda Civic Coupe(34-36 mpg), Ford Focus (35 mpg) and Toyota Corolla (35 mpg).
