Need a Durable Car? Get a Tank!

It may seem like a ridiculous idea, especially with the current price of gas, but hear us out. How many times have you come back to your car and noticed a scratch, dent, or knick in the paint? At some point or another you've wished your car were indestructible. Admit it already!

The answer to your problems could be a tank. Or, an armored reconnaissance vehicle, to be more exact. Joachim Schoenich, of New Anspach Germany has already made the bold move to an armored vehicle. His British Army surplus Fox FV721 boasts huge tires, is narrower than a Hummer H1 and shorter than a Chrysler 300. So if you think about it, it's kind of practical

And, believe it or not, his vehicle has served him well. He likes it so much he lets his family ride around in it, although it doesn't look so safe. We're not sure if it's OK to let your wife stand on the outside while the vehicle is in motion, and we have to wonder, if his son's bike helmet will do anything to protect him if he falls. Plus, take a look at his older son's arm, we have to wonder, how exactly did he get that cast? But still, maybe we worry too much! Schoenich loves it, and even drives it to the grocery store! Although he does admit it's a little cumbersome, especially to park, and, the non-functioning gun does get in the way, but still, he loves his tank.

Buying a tank almost seems logical. Honestly, if you're going to just say, "screw you" to gas prices and buy a huge SUV or truck, you might as well go all the way. All of these people buying Hummers, Suburbans, Denalis and Escalades might as well buy a real utility vehicle.

Either way, think about it for a second. How cool would it be to tow your boat with a tank?
