Ludacris Expands Ringtone Distribution For Unsigned Artists

PlayasNation.com - Ludacris expands his WeMix.com business by teaming up with a major mobile content provider to allow ringtone distribution for unsigned artists.

Focused on helping independent artists gain recognition for their musical talents, Luda will now allow individuals the ability to create their own original ringtones for global distribution and exposure.

"WeMix.com was created to offer unsigned artists access to beneficial opportunities to promote their music," Luda said in a statement. "Providing unsigned artists with promotional tools typically reserved for major label artists, such as ringtone creation and worldwide distribution is just another testament to WeMix.com's dedication to independent artists."

Partnering with mobile social media company Phonezoo, over 40 million members will be able to download the custom ringtones to their own phones.

In related news, Luda will join T.I. to perform on "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" special later this month. Hosted by Carson Daly, the Grammy winning rappers will help welcome 2009 alongside other guests including "I Kissed A Girl" singer Katy Perry.

"New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" is scheduled to air live Wednesday, December 31 at 10 p.m. EST.
