Bengals get ‘mean’; bring back Chris Henry

http://www.debbieschlussel.com/archives/chrishenry.jpgMarvin Lewis is no stranger to distractions.

He’s got half of his defence in jail, Chad “Ocho Cinqo” Johnson as his feature reciever and his feud with quarterback Carson Palmer, and now his GM brings back a guy who Lewis said would “disrupt his football team.”

Chris Henry, the Bengals’ usual number three receiver, was suspended for the first eight games of last season, and Cincinnati went 2-6 in those games. In the final eight games he played, he wasn’t used very much, but the Bengals did go 5-3.

So when he was arrested again, the Bengals released him, as it was his fifth arrest and it was starting to get ridiculous. But, seeing as both Johnson and TJ Houshmandzadeh being slowed by injuries, along with charges against Henry being dropped, the Bengals really had to take him back.

He says he’s going to clean up his act, but talk is cheap.

If he does come back and play well, then Marvin Lewis is right, ”The boy can play.”

And when it comes to winning games, isn’t that all that matters?
