Casa Grande students who attend Casa Verde school are now learning Mexican musical genre. Like many other schools in the district there are barely any music and art programs to begin with let lone programs for stringed instruments. With the growing problem of the economy, schools are barely hanging on with reduced funding. I read in the Casa Grande Dispatch the other day that the City of Casa Grande and Pinal County have used “criminal funds” seized from drug operations to fund a new Lenco Bearcast for the Swat team. It is really tough to be commercial real estate right now, Casa Grande is a sprawling small city but there are vacant communities everywhere. Home builders who went bankrupt leave dozens of acres of unfinished models, homes and vacant lots littering the city everywhere.
