NEW DISCOVERY: CASEY ALDRIDGE

Ok, ok. I know he's not so much a "new discovery" as the tabloid fodder of the week for getting the sister of train-wreck Britney Spears pregnant, but I have to say that Ms. Jamie-Lynn Spears has great taste in men (at least from a purely physical point of view), and I'm sure it won't be long before it won't be long before Casey Aldridge is known for more than being a soon-to-be "baby-daddy".

I used to live in Mississippi for a few years, not far from Casey Aldridge's hometown, and while I hated living there, I have to admit I found those country boys HOT! There's not many things sexier than a cute guy with an accent, y'all! Casey currently works as a pipe-layer (insert pregnancy joke here), but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets some modeling work (or at least some offers) out of the exposure his fertility is getting him. Hint to the scouts @ Abercrombie . . . he obviously already likes your clothes, so it would seem a natural fit to me. I wouldn't mind walking past your front doors in the mall to see a mega-sized poster of a shirtless Casey staring back at me!

While he seems to be a bit press-shy at the moment, doing a great job of eluding the media (he should share some tips with Britney!), it will be interesting to see how things progress in the coming weeks. Will Casey latch onto his 15 minutes of fame and milk the hell out of them (a la Kevin Federline), or will he be content to stay an "average joe"? If he takes the fame route, let's hope he doesn't become as sleazy as KFed appears to be. Casey was apparently a very popular guy in high school, so I'm going to assume his classmates had good taste and hope for the best from him. Until he comes forth and makes some kind of public statement, though, I'm not going to assume too much. I do feel sorry for the guy . . . he's certainly been thrust into the limelight in what has to be a very tough personal situation, so hopefully his family and friends will help keep him grounded and on the right path.

Word of advice to Casey, if the talent scouts do come calling, a modeling contract would help pay for a hell of a lot of diapers!
