Casey Anthony an Evil Mother................

If you followed this Orlando Florida murder case at all or have watched any newscast over the past two months there is no doubt that you will have seen things that make it appear that Casey Anthony is guilty as sin. Let’s start first with the fact that her 2 year old was missing for 30 days before she reported her gone. Next is the evidence that shows her lifestyle during that specific 30 days Caylee was missing, partying, partying and more partying. Third came the different lies she told the police about what had actually happened to her child from nonexistent nannies to rich boyfriends. Fourth was the duct tape found wrapped around her decomposed skull. Fifth was the computer searches for chloroform (87) and finally the testimony about the hair and the stench emanating from the trunk of her car.

Now before commenting further I want to point out another case in which I was a jury foreman. This case was only for “attempted murder” but it was a he said, she said affair with a variety of substantiating evidence on both sides. After days of testimony and lawyers oration we retired to the jury room to discuss the defendant’s guilt or innocence. It appeared at the beginning that it was going to be almost impossible to figure out who was lying or at least bending the truth in their direction.

After going over every detail it turned out to be common sense that brought us to a unanimous verdict. The crux of the matter was the 12’’ butcher knife that was at the scene of the incident and allegedly used to stab the victim. The defendant said that the victim brought the knife out of his house onto the street to try and injure him. He also said he had only defended himself by fending off the victim while grabbing the knife and stabbing him to get away. The victim said that the defendant had brought the knife with him after he had just finished a soccer game at the park nearby. He said the “soccer player” attacker pulled the blade out of the front of his shorts after they had rolled around fighting on the ground for a few minutes.

It became obvious to us that carrying a 12” butcher knife in the waistband of your soccer shorts and then rolling around on the ground fighting would not be a comfortable thing. In fact the most likely outcome would have been the dissection of some very critical organs. Once this piece of common sense indicated who was lying it also made it clear that the defendant should be found not guilty of attempted murder.

In the case of Casey Anthony the common sense aspect shows itself in the famous words of Judge Judy”if it doesn’t make sense it’s probably not true.” When you consider her defence was centered on the supposition that Caylee’s death was an accident and compare it against the factual evidence pointed out above it doesn’t pass the smell test. If there is a doubt at all it certainly couldn’t have been a reasonable one. Why this jury stretched to get one is beyond me?

Personally, the duct tape sealed it up for me.
