Cassidy Pendley was tragically killed in a house fire in North Carolina on October 28, 2007. Cassidy was a graduate of Fort Dorchester High School and was most recently a student at the University of South Carolina.

A memorial service for Cassidy Pendley will take place Monday, November 5th at the Cathedral of Praise in North Charleston. The memorial starts at noon and runs until 4pm. Her interment is private. Memorials may be made to The Cassidy F. Pendley Memorial Fund at any Wachovia Bank. Read Full Story

A beach house fire along the coast of North Carolina took the lives of seven young college students in October 2007.

The six victims from USC are Lauren Mahon , Cassidy Pendley and William Rhea , all were 18 years old. 19 year-olds Justin Anderson and Allison Walden were also killed, along with 20 year-old Travis Cale .

The paper also listed sophomore Emily Yelton as the student from Clemson who died in the fire.
