Degrassi alumni that aren’t Jimmy making music
Cassie Steele (Manny) and Mike Lobel (Jay) apparently are starting a band and writing music together, according to her Twitter. She’s posted two songs so far, one called Grain and another called Jerry.
90210 star is proving to be one multi-talented girl. I recently went to L.A.’s Trousdale for a V.I.P. screening of a short film Grimes wrote and directed for a song she also wrote and sang called “Myself and I.” We later bonded because I recognized the apartment Grimes’ rocky love story was shot in — Shenae and I lived in the same building. L.A. is such a small, chic world! “I had gotten the itch a couple months back to delve into directing and the world of production and was inspired by a situation in my own life to write a simple story about a boy and a girl,” Grimes told me. “The simplicity of the story paired with the choice to use a song instead of dialogue, allowed me the freedom to get creative in my means of storytelling. I wanted a film that looked beautiful and made people feel something without telling them how they should feel.” Check out the video above.
