Cassie Sports a Sassy Half-Shaved Updo

Cassie's hair in the wake of the initial shave.Last year, R&B singer Cassie might have seemed like she was trying a little too hard when she shaved half of her head and tweeted about it (on the same day her single "Must Be Love" was released to radio stations, natch).
These days, however, Diddy's rumored girlfriend is really making the look work for her. She showed up at Elle magazine's annual Women in Music Issue event with her honey-hued hair pinned up in a fabulous updo, making it clear that the half-shaved look is far more versatile than one might expect.
The trick is in the bangs: Cassie's face-framing, side-swept fringe hides the shaved portion of her head from the front, which creates a surprisingly sophisticated and dynamic look. Nice work, Cassie!
