Nick Vujicic is a 27-year-old man born in Melbourne, Australia, but he’s been around. He’s a motivational speaker, and millions of people in at least four continents have listened to him.
Nick does a lot of things that are pretty unremarkable, really. He walks around, occasionally falls down, and then he gets back up. He shaves himself. He climbs the stairs. He enjoys fishing, golfing, and swimming. He uses the computer and answers the phone. He graduated from the university with a double major (accounting and financial planning). At one point, he struggled with depression and seriously contemplated suicide. Now? He smiles. A lot. He has a serious case of joie de vivre.
What’s so remarkable about this guy walking, climbing, typing, swimming? He was born with no arms or legs (unless you count the small foot with two toes that protrude from his left thigh near the groin).
Nick used to plead with God, asking for arms and legs to grow. Now he thanks God for his abilities. Life has handed him lemons, but he wasn’t satisfied with making lemonade. He makes lemon meringue pie and lemon bars and lemon chicken and all SORTS of wonderful things with his lemons!
