That’s right, bikinis with a cause – one of the things that make the Cayman Islands a unique place to live in is the creativity of event organizers. On Thursday 17 June, 2010 the Cayman Islands Amateur Swimming Association (CIASA) organized a bikini parade with the primary objective being to raise money for the development of swimming on the island (aka “the cause”) and the secondary objective being to smash the Guinness Book of world record for the world’s largest bikini parade. The event was held at Tikki Beach Bar (the latest cool hangout spot on Seven Mile Beach road) and it was a sight to see.
The event was a success as, not only did CIASA manage to raise a significant amount of money for swimming development in Cayman Islands, but it also managed to set a new Guinness Book of World Record for both largest bikini parade and largest swimwear parade. All in all, a good time was had all participants in the event.
