Announcing the Orbit Baby Celebrity Stroller Auction

Orbit Baby is announcing a special holiday Celebrity Stroller Auction will kick off on December 2nd, 2008.

Orbit Baby has been working with some of their favorite celebrity clients to create an opportunity to raise funds for the venerable organization, Save the Children.

The company has asked ten well known moms and dads who use Orbit Baby products to sign Orbit Infant Systems. The signed Orbits will be offered on CharityBuzz starting on December 2nd.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit Save the Children. The complete Orbit Infant Systems are each valued at $900.

 
Celebrity moms and dads who have signed Orbit Infant Systems include: Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott who featured Orbit Baby on their shows, Tori & Dean Inn Love, and Home Sweet Hollywood; Heidi Klum; Poppy Montgomery, Giada De Laurentiis; Marcia Cross; and Jaime Pressly.

Four more celebrity signers will be announced in coming weeks leading up to the launch of the Orbit Celebrity Stroller Auction.

 
Orbit Baby founders Joseph Hei and Bryan White, both with young children, support nonprofits and charities working to improve children's health. Recently, Orbit Baby has also been involved in events benefitting the March of Dimes, Healthy Child Healthy World, and the Children's Diabetes Foundation.

The story of Save the Children is one of positive change and people - millions of people in thousands of communities around the globe - working together to create opportunities for the world's children to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives. In January 1932 in a small room in New York City, a group of concerned citizens gathered to respond to the needs of the proud people of Appalachia hard hit by the Great Depression.

The inspiration and vision for Save the Children came in part from the international children's rights movement begun in England in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb, founder of the British Save the Children Fund.
