Seeking Dynamic, Charismatic and Opinionated British foodie personalities and/or chefs interested in traveling and eating their way across the U.S. Cannot have extensive knowledge of American food culture or have spent large amounts of time in the United States.
DESCRIPTION: Counter Culture will follow two foreign foodies as they drive across the US and discover it through food. Think "An Idiot Abroad" meets "Diners, Drive Ins and Dives." Watch as two hilarious and opinionated foreign chefs, writers or personalities road trip across different parts of the US and learn the quirks, oddities and tasty treats that make up American food culture today.
From the joys of gas station cuisine in the South to trying to understand why there's no such thing as a New York System hot dog in New York.
FORMAT: Each episode will focus on a different city in the U.S. where the hosts visit three different locations to try the food, meet the personalities behind the establishments and spend time with the locals.
TIME: Time commitment TBD, but will involve extensive travel via car within the United States.
