In The Latest Entertainment News Celebrities Help Victims in Haiti
A 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti on Tuesday. It knocked down buildings and killing over 100,000 people. According to the latest Celebrity News there were so many celebrities such as Madonna, Sandra Bullock, Lady GaGa, Tiger Woods, Joe Jonas, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and other that are opening their hearts as well as their hearts to help these poor victims of the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti last week.
In the latest Entertainment News celebrities such as: Sandra Bullock donated $1million to Doctors without Borders, while Madonna gave $250,000 to Partners in health. The Tiger Woods foundation donated $3million to the cause, and Lady GaGa said she will be donating proceeds from her upcoming Radio City Music Hall show in New York City to the victims. Joe Jonas said he wanted to be a little something more than donate money. He is planning a trip to the nation to help out in person.
Angelina Jolie, and Brad Pitt have pledged $1million to Haiti also to Doctors without Borders for the organization’s emergency medical operations in Haiti. They both said that they will work very closely with their close friend Wyclef Jean to support the humanitarian efforts on the island and help those who have been injured and left without homes and shelter.
George Clooney has organized a telethon with many celebrities that will air on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 8:00PM pm ABC, CBC. Many stars are urging the people to help out in a time like this to donate money to help the earthquake victims in Haiti.
