Plastic surgery, once reserved for those who suffered from traumatic face and body injuries, has become the "new normal" trend for those wanting to look and stay younger – a trend that has invaded Hollywood.
In a world of beauty, those with the money and the means are now undergoing the knife in an effort to stay in the spotlight. This effort to remake their faces and bring back the fading youth made plastic surgery a growing and in demand market despite economic downturn. Botox, laser resurfacing, nose jobs, butt lifts, lip plumping and eye lifts, have changed how we see some of the Hollywood big stars – some had really good outcome while some had botched surgeries. The effects of plastic surgery, rather than leaving them beautiful, have led to more than one disaster. It must be asked if these plastic surgeons realize how truly horrific some of their "masterpieces" have become.
