3 Stars, Including Katy Perry, Who Got Revenge On Their Exes

It seemed like Katy Perry and Russell Brand had a fairly peaceful divorce, but Perry still wanted to get revenge on Brand. At the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, Katy took the opportunity to perform a never-before-heard song – one obviously aimed at Russell. She could have chosen to sing a hit song off her most recent album, but instead she sang “Part of Me,” which will be featured on the re-release of her album Teenage Dream. She wore a skintight bodysuit and a short blue wig to belt out lyrics like, “You chewed me up and spit me out” and “You ripped me off, your love was cheap.” She even changed some of the lyrics from the original version of the song just for the award show to make it more obvious that she was talking about Russell. One of the lines was supposed to read, “You can keep the dog from me, I never like him anyway.” Instead, Katy sang, “Keep your diamond ring – In fact, you can keep everything…Except for me.”

Katy Perry was not shy about getting revenge on ex-husband Russell Brand. She made sure everyone watching her Grammy performance knew just what she was singing about. Perry isn’t the only star who has tried to get back at her ex though. Here are a few other celebrities that have also gotten revenge on former boyfriends or girlfriends.

Naya Rivera

The relationship between Glee stars Naya Rivera and Mark Salling didn’t end well. Naya didn’t sing about him on national television, but she and her friend did key Salling’s car and cover it in eggs and dog food. She denied the rumor, but Mark arrived at work on a skateboard rather than in his car the day the sabotage supposedly took place.

Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake got revenge on Britney Spears after they split and rumors began swirling that she had cheated on him with one of her backup dancers. In his song “Cry Me a River” Timberlake sang about how there was no chance for the couple because he found out about the infidelity and that, “your bridges were burned and now it’s your turn to cry, cry me a river.” He even cast a Britney look-alike to star in the music video.
