Vanessa Hudgens Prom Hairstyle Ideas 2009

The only prom Vanessa Hudgens has ever been to was probably filmed for one of the High School Musical flicks, but that doesn't mean you can't copy one of her formal hairstyles for prom.

Vanessa tends to wear her long, shiny black hair down when she's out and about, but for awards shows and promotional events, she's worn her hair in lots of different formal updos. Some of these hairstyles work well with bangs, while others are better for grow-out phases.

For the Japan premiere of HSM 3, Vanessa wore her hair up in a high, messy bun.

This hairstyle looks pretty elaborate - so it'd be hard to pull off at home - but if you bring in a picture to a hairstylist, you could definitely get a hairstyle like this for prom.

For the Melbourne, Australia HSM 3 premiere, Hudgens wore her hair back in a low formal ponytail, keeping tendrils framing her face and posing with some of the ponytail draped over her shoulder.

For the US Weekly Hot Hollywood Issue party last year, Vanessa Hudgens wore her hair up in another high, messy, curly bun. This hairstyle would look especially good with prom dresses with interesting necklines that you want to show off.

At the HSM 3 Paris premiere, Hudgens finally wore her bangs pulled back away from her face, wth volume around the crown. Her hair was twisted, section by section, into a lovely, romantic bun.
